just the 2 of us

"Bye! take care daddy". vivian and i were standing outside waving our hands on that cold early morning. daddy went out of town for a customer project with a colleague. it will be just the two of us until wednesday. this time, the little girl will go to school to be fetched by the school bus. i still do the same things plus some projects, i'm thinking of...hmm reorganizing our closet and kitchen cabinet and/or plan a nice meal this weekend. while i was cooking, my favorite home store, tavola called. they said the cupcake holder i ordered last november (for vivian's birthday) just arrived, yey! i'm still excited but i need to wait for my husband for us to get it and they were so kind to reserve it for me.
today we ate "bistek" (beef steak). she slept the whole afternoon and i cleaned outside.

tonight, we will read a book before going to bed and to daddy thanks for the note, read it this morning :0)

haircut

got my first haircut here, wow after seven months. it's twice as expensive compared to where i came from. vivian also had her hair trimmed, just one inch coz she wants her hair long like ariel, the little mermaid. hope she will not ask to color it red =). so how do i look?

rainy night and day

it started yesterday late afternoon, vivian was playing bubbles outside while waiting for daddy, few minutes she went inside the house to get her jacket, she said "mom it's windy outside". then after five minutes she went inside again and was saying "there's a little rain". i asked her to stay inside and play with her snow white puzzle instead. as we were almost done with the puzzle, doorbell rang three times (that's our signal) , it's daddy. as we open the door, vivian noticed, "oh it's sooo rainy and windy outside" and started singing rain rain go away. we ate dinner...still raining, we watched few episodes... still raining, we all went to bed....still raining. when we woke up this morning... still raining.
vivian did not go to school and daddy just worked from home. she was disappointed not going to school, i told her, we will going to have a nice time and we started going back to bed =) while daddy was working. we got out of bed almost lunch time, so we had brunch and....
watched movies and ate fruits....

sing along to disney princess songs and had macaroni soup....

lastly, watched again and had fried chicken and onion rings...

we are about to go to bed...still raining.

i hope the sun will come out tomorrow coz it's laundry day. =)

Fabulous Week

Starting the year off with a bang. The little girl gifted us with, not one - not two, but three great jobs in school. She started off with getting the 'My teacher is proud of me' sticker (see previous post). After a couple of days, she was cited as the 'Star of the Day' (pic above) for 'reading very well' by one of her teachers.

On the same day, she had yet another sticker citing her for a job 'Well Done' for 'Good Maths' because 'she had worked hard doing a number line'.

Needless to say, we were so proud of her for having a fabulous week...

My teacher is proud of me

As part of the school's weekly routine, she gets several books to bring home and read. One of which is a child's book series by the Oxford Reading Tree about a particular family's daily life, Dad, Mum, Biff, Chip, Kipper and their dog Floppy. Everytime a new book is given, either bong or myself (usually me) would read with her. Once read at home, the teachers pulls aside each pupil individually and has him or her read back to her the story.

For this week...she was happy to report...

Vivian read "the headache" very well. she was confident, quick and correct. - written in her diary earlier today by one of her teachers

Back to School

vivian was excited going back to school. counting days...nights...sleeps. after more than two weeks of vacation she was more than ready. it's the second term and it's PE day. classes has been extended for an hour and PE will be twice a week, every saturday and monday.
when she got home she said "can i sleep for a short time?"... but when she saw the food i just prepared she quickly changed her clothes for lunch =). while we were eating she was happy telling us, about her new friend -- a new girl in class, new PE teacher and the game she and her classmates played.
