Reception Swimming Morning

The Reception swimming morning took place on Wednesday 26th March at school. We were able to watch and took pictures and videos and cheered for her and her friends.

The event was a series of ‘stations’ (similar to sports day) in which all the children did all the 5 activities. Based on their swimming ability, the three Reception classes were split into two groups. Each group was split further into five teams to do the 5 activities on a rotation system. At the end of the morning, the three classes took part in a shuttle relay across the swimming pool.

It was a demonstration of the pupils’ stroke and water skills development and the ‘stations’ gave them the chance to show the skills that they have developed during their swimming lessons.

Vivian's confidence in water definitely improved but she still has a long way to go. She appeared braver than before probably because she's among peers. At the very least, she's enjoying the water more because of it.
